Imp Revolt feels like someone took a regular fantasy RPG, ripped out the moral high ground, then handed you the most horny little chaos gremlin in hell and said, “Good luck, champ.” You start thinking it’s going to be one of those slow burn, story-first visual novels. Then five minutes later you’re arguing with yourself about whether you’re “really” forced to hit that Tempt button or if you just want an excuse. The game loves that. It sits there, poking at your brain while you try to play the hero, then quietly stacks situations where the demon girl is breathing in your ear, pressing in close, and your so-called righteous path just melts like ice on a forge. That whole “no tempt run” idea? It lets you pretend for a bit. You grind, you guard, you play careful, chip Cali down to a single HP, feeling so proud of your tiny bit of gamer honor. Then the game just looks at you and basically says: “Nah. Press the button.” I was actually laughing and swearing at my screen at the same time.

What really got me is how personal it feels. The POV thing hits hard. You don’t watch someone else get corrupted, it pokes directly at you. Every time Cali leans in with that smug little smile, it feels less like a boss fight and more like losing an argument with your own libido. The writing is rough in spots, yeah, but in a way that kind of fits. It’s like reading the horny fanfic version of an RPG campaign your DM definitely never meant to show anyone. Some lines hit weird, some scenes feel like they jump too fast, and then suddenly there’s this perfect moment where she calls you out for pretending you’re “stronger than temptation” while you’re already halfway through picking the lewd option. And the game doesn’t even explain half its systems to you. It just drops Tempt in your lap, lets you think it’s optional, then slowly turns it from “spare ability” into “oh fuck, my whole build is basically sin now.” I kept wishing there was one proper route where you could actually resist her all the way, get some holy-spark ending, cleanse the crimson keep and walk away. But if they ever add that, I kinda hope they don’t, because the cruelty of that forced moment is exactly what makes the whole thing stick in my head. The game is like a horny little devil on your shoulder, and it never shuts up, and I absolutely hate how much I enjoyed losing.
