You know that feeling when a game is so janky it loops back around to being kind of brilliant? The art in Personal Assistant: Blackheart Edition looks like someone drew it on a bus. A bumpy bus. But the way the boss’s tits are always just... there, straining against her blouse while she explains quarterly reports? That’s a deliberate choice and I respect the hustle.
The setup is you’re the new assistant and she’s a nightmare. Classic. But the corruption path isn’t some slow burn. It’s more like a grease fire. One minute you’re fetching coffee, the next she’s got you on your knees and the dialogue is pure filth. There’s this one scene where she makes you watch her with another woman from accounting, just to prove a point about office hierarchy, and the humiliation angle hits different when the CG is this unpolished. It feels nastier somehow. Like finding a dirty magazine in a ditch. The lesbian content isn’t an afterthought either, which is rare. You can actually pivot the whole power dynamic and leave her a begging mess, which I did, obviously. The bisexual choices feel genuinely messy and spiteful, not just a box to tick.
Wish the assistant character had more of a spine in the early game. She just sort of... folds. Which I guess is the point of the step fantasy tag but still. The domination scenes have this weird, stilted rhythm because of the translation. “You are now my property, assistant.” It’s so blunt it circles back to being hot. The sound design is just... don’t play this with headphones unless you want your neighbors to think you’re watching a snuff film made on a Casio keyboard. Forgot to mention the corruption mechanic is basically just a slider that goes from “nervous” to “depraved” with no in-between. Perfect. No notes.
